Programme Overview
The programme has been designed and developed and is led by Adam Shearer and Chuck Shwenn. Both hold master’s degrees in their fields of expertise and have many years’ experience working in the 'Coaching and Education' sector. We are a Coaching and Education organisation that has worked with many schools, clubs and organisations in a variety of settings for the last 25 years in Torbay and Devon and we feel that our new offering is a natural progression from the well established HAF programme that we deliver.

We believe that this new programme is unlike anything else currently available in the area. It has been designed as a supportive programme that is fundamentally underpinned by a variety of sports and activities, blended with an introduction to AI with the aim of developing Artificial Intelligence skills for the future. The intention is to provide an opportunity to combine sport, real life skills and new world technical skills to open up opportunities for individuals to take their next step to their future self. This could include, opening up a new career pathway, reintegration into mainstream education with a new focus or providing an opening for further placements, for example, Apprenticeships, FE or sporting qualifications.
This programme will be based at Torbay Leisure Centre. It is a fantastic location and has extensive facilities that will enable us to offer a host of activities and sports, including Football, Tennis. Table Tennis, Padel, Pickleball, Badminton, Basketball, Netball, Cycling, Cricket, Swimming and Gym sessions. Participation can lead to a sports qualification for example, Refereeing/Activity Leadership/Coaching/Assisting. We also provide, one to one or small group sessions focusing on skill and technical development, we will book guest speakers to deliver exemplar demonstrations for example, world record holder, football freestyler Dan Magness and provide trips and visits to professional events to support development.
By offering a varied sport provision, we provide the physical outlet that allow students to be active and engaged in a sport of their choice, giving them an opportunity and use and develop creativity, collaboration and communication skills whilst building confidence and emotional resilience. From an AI perspective we also offer the option of prompt engineering with the view of turning screen time into a vocational skill set.
